All In The Family Challenge

If you have family photos to scrap or have been meaning to get started on that heritage album, why not start the new year off right by participating in my monthly ALL IN THE FAMILY challenge at Digitals! All you have to do is sign up in the All In The Family forum and then PM me and I will send you the links to a complimentary kit that you can use to make your layout. You are not required to use this kit in order to qualify for the posting bonus. What is a posting bonus, you ask. There are 21 monthly challenges at Digitals. When you complete a challenge and post your layout, the challenge host will send you the links to a mini-kit. All of the mini-kits coordinate and you will have a beautiful mega kit at the end of the month! All for free! Complete all of the challenges and you will receive a bonus one of a kind alphabet that coordinates with the kit!

This month, my challenge is to scrap a family photo and tell as much as you know about it in your journaling. It doesn't have to be an antique photo. It is nice if you have one, but remember, you are someone's heritage too and there is no time like the present to start that album!

On a personal note, I have been sick since the day after Christmas! Couldn't have happened at a worse time, but then, is there ever a good time to be sick? I am still working on new stuff for the store and future challenges -- I just can't stay up for long periods of time at this point.

As the New Year approaches........

I hope you all had a wonderful CHRISTmas! We spent Christmas Eve with our friends Jay, Dinger and Pat. Jay and Dinger provided us with a wonderful meal of ham, sweet potatoes and baked macaroni & cheese. It was soooooo good! Jay's dog, Micki, provided us with the entertainment! LOL!

One more week and it will be 2008! Can you believe it? A lot has happened for Nini's Notions in 2007 -- I reached my two year anniversary as a digital designer and one year anniversary of selling at Digitals. I became exclusive to Digitals at the end of August, so that is the only place you can purchase my designs.

I reached 1,000 posts in the forum/gallery last week. I never thought I would be able to do it, but the next level is 3,000 and I am now working toward that.

On a personal note, Nini received her first Social Security benefit check in October! Not a lot, but at least it is something. And... her Medicare benefits become effective 4/01/2008! Ahhhh, ain't retirement life grand? LOL!

Well, all for now. My next post will be about the new challenge I am hosting at Digitals beginning in January.

Happy "Black Friday" everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and didn't eat too much! We spent the evening with our friends Jay and Dinger who went all out and prepared a fantastic turkey with all the trimmings! Better than the food was the time we spent around the fire talking and reminiscing.

My First Post

Well, I finally did it! Welcome to my new blog. I don't know how proficient I will be about keeping up with it, but I hope that you all will bear with me on this. Once I learn how to do everything here, I hope to post previews of my newest digital kits and links to some of my fellow designers' items.
